Title: Construction and Environmental Permitting Specialist
Location: Batavia, OH
Duration: 18 Months

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction and Environmental Permitting Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and obtain all necessary permits for construction projects (green field) while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and environmental permitting processes, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, obtain, and manage all necessary permits required for construction projects, including but not limited to building permits, environmental permits, zoning permits, and land-use permits.
• Coordinate the permits for the Wastewater treatment plan, and odor control.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
• Prepare and submit permit applications, environmental impact statements, and other regulatory documentation required for permit approval.
• Monitor the progress of permit applications and follow up with regulatory agencies as needed to ensure timely approval.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Identify and mitigate potential environmental risks associated with construction projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with permit conditions and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure all permitting requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, civil engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in construction and environmental permitting.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Familiar with the Ohio Regulations.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
