ATE Test Lead
Engineer
THE ROLE:
Accountable for the performance of ATE test equipment for NPI development in a lab environment. Provides Lab operation support during the test development and sample generation phases for AMD's microprocessor and graphics products.
THE PERSON:
- Supports Lab operations for NPI activities across product lines
- Performs test data analysis and drives improvements in test equipment performance and reliability
- Owns the quality of training for engineering lab personnel
- Owns Lab test equipment performance, reliability, debug support and optimization
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Familiar with all ATE test hardware (Logic Testers, Handlers, Load Boards, & Sockets)
- Has Advantest 93K tester applications skills
- Proficient in the operation of ATE equipment suchs as handlers and manual insertion bench units
- Familiar with electro-mechanical equipment
- Familiar with Active Thermal Control (ATC) systems theory and practical application
- Experienced with data analysis and statistical tools
- Experience working with engineering labs and/or high volume manufacturing test facilities
- Strong communication skills at both technical and executive levels, including the ability to create and discuss technical documentation and presentations
- Proficient with Microsoft standard products: Windows Operating Systems and Office applications
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experienced working with global teams
- Experienced working with Delta, HonTech, & Advantest handlers
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Position requires a technology related Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree
- Position requires at least 5 years of experience in test and/or product engineering
