The Kinetic Estimator will work with our clients, government agencies, Kinetic managers, and various subcontractors to prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable quotes to send to all bidders on projects where KES Hydrovac services are needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Seek out relevant bid opportunities through various modes such as on government sites, in-bound leads from the Kinetic website, word of mouth opportunities, cold-calls/emails, and paid bid platforms.

· Research and analyze construction documents, plans, and specifications to find Hydrovac opportunities, and to determine the details needed to produce an accurate quote.

· Work with the Kinetic project management team (as needed) to gather input and help determine general requirements and potential challenges/roadblocks on the project.

· Consults with client, subcontractors, Kinetic managers, and material suppliers to discuss potential costs upfront and resolve any issues before sending final quote.

· Communicate with client and Kinetic project management team to assist in logistics and planning on basis of project start and completion times.

· Manage and quote multiple bid opportunities simultaneously.

· Track the quantity of bids sent out, awarded, lost, and bid results to meet set quota. Position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

· Follow up with bidders to determine award, if not awarded find out why and document.

· Present and explain quote to clients with professionalism and the proper level of details.

· Familiarity/Proficiency with the following software or internet-based programs: Netsuite, Sharepoint, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, Salesforce.

Qualification Requirements

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONS

· Ideally a B.S. degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or the equivalent of 5 to 7 years of Heavy Highway/Civil field experience.

· Minimum of five (5) years of Heavy Highway, Oil & Gas, or Civil/Commercial Construction experience with a minimum of four (2) years of estimating experience preferred.

· Capability to complete a variety of large, sometimes complex, and competitive bid projects.

· Independent sales strengths for presentations and projects pursuits.

· History of successfully working internally with the operational team and externally with business owners, clients, engineers, and subcontractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
