Turning Point Action is a 501(c)(4) organization that works to mobilize conservatives in the election or defeat of a candidate. Turning Point Action registers voters and engages the conservative base at a grassroots level to recruit Precinct Committeemen, and fight for election integrity and conservative values.

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Event Administrator is responsible for being a key player in planning, organizing, and executing all TPA events. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded and can work both independently and as part of a team, continues to bring new and innovative ideas to the table, and has an understanding that all job duties are necessary to the success of our events and organization through embodying our company culture traits: grassroots humility, warrior spirit, and persistent innovation.
The TPA Events Team is responsible for all event details, from start to finish. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a team that does everything in-house, and gain the experience of working with a variety of people to successfully create and complete multiple large-scale events from concept to reality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Event registration development and execution
- Managing on-site events
- Establish and maintain relationships with guests, vendors, and venues
- Coordinating agendas and schedules
- Attendee customer service and communication
- Event marketing, including developing and tracking print and digital assets
- Developing event floor plans
- Managing and working with staff teams during the event
- Develop and abide by budgets set
- Gathering and completing invoices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Have close personal alignment with the mission and principles of TPA
- Strong work ethic and goal-oriented
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Punctual and very responsive
- Impeccable organizational skills (you need to love organizing)
- Knowledge of Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Airtable, etc)
- Project management or event management skills, with effective time management and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains quick problem-solving skills and ability to 'go with the flow' in a rapidly expanding and changing environment and high-pressure situations
- “Team Player” who thrives in an environment working with others
- Passion for conservative ideas and principles
“WOW!” SKILLS:
- Previous event planning experience
- Prior involvement with Turning Point Action or campaigns
- Knowledge and/or experience with event registration platforms (ie. Aventri, Cvent, etc)
- Degree In event planning or related field
- Past administrative experience
