Willow Creek Country Club is in Search of an outstanding Banquet Captain with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The Banquet Captain is responsible for ensuring that excellent member/guest service is provided throughout the banquet department and carrying out daily duties in accordance to Club standards. Supervise and coordinate activities during banquets to ensure that food and beverages are served promptly and the room is presentable.tanding Banquet Captain with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
JOB DUTIES
- Ensure all Equipment is in rooms and that rooms are set (table, linen, silverware, glassware, food area) to Club standards.
- Assists the Clubhouse Managers and the Executive/Banquet Chef with any preparation needs
- Assists the Clubhouse Managers with supervising banquets and functions within the Club.
- Oversee all Banquet Events. Ensure that the set-up of the banquet function is completed in a timely manner and team members are assigned to their designated areas.
- Assist with A/V setup needs
- Ensures that event and meeting rooms are clean and maintained.
- Trains new employees in service, banquet, and guest service skills
- Take responsibility for the well-being of the department, including and food and labor costs
- Maintain interdepartmental relations with all food and beverage departments ensuring all requirements are met.
- Consults with the Clubhouse Managers, Executive and Banquet Chef on items such as serving arrangements and additional employees and equipment needed so that the pertinent information is relayed about service, club activities, and performance for excellence standards.
- Supervise and assist in the cleaning and resetting of banquet room(s); supervise and perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking banquet shelves with supplies.
- Greet, host and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Supervises temporary and full-time banquet employees.
- Supervises all full time and on-call staff in the Banquet Department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and discipline.
- Consistently examines the cleanliness and correct uniform attire of all team members
- Supervise or perform general cleaning tasks using standard Club cleaning products, as assigned to adhere to health standards
- Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Any other duties as assigned by the Clubhouse Manager such as assisting with special guest requests, attending training seminars, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
