Job description
The Experiential Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and is responsible for developing cross-channel messaging and communication strategies that promote the company's brand, real estate, and club value proposition message to the consumer. With the Director of Marketing, the Experiential Marketing Manager will be responsible for the positioning, content development and communications of the brand experience including campaigns, events, partnerships, and public relations efforts with a strong focus on how content connects thru all company entities and channels. This position affords a unique opportunity to flex both creative and analytical lines of thinking to holistically develop marketing strategies to generate new business, create marketing leads, manage effective nurturing programs and workflows and drive sales revenue for multiple business lines within the company. The Experiential Marketing Manager must have excellent writing and organizational skills as well as look at things with a creative eye.
These initiatives will benefit the below business lines including:
- Kiawah Island Real Estate (KIRE) Marketing – promotion of developer and brokerage real estate to members, prospects and media including events both onsite and offsite marketing events, partnership activations, public relation opportunities and community relations goals as well as social media and content creation.
- Kiawah Island Club Member benefits – Strategic marketing and partnership projects that support the goal of being nationally recognized as a luxury lifestyle provider through our pillars of hospitality, health, fitness, golf, culinary, recreation, which bring recognition to the Club and benefits to membership.
The position will report to the Director of Marketing (DOM) and will also involve working closely with Kiawah Island Real Estate’s President and Assistant Broker in Charge, Kiawah Island Club’s Chief Operating Officer, Kiawah Island Real Estate Marketing Manager, as well as the many Club Directors, KIRE sales team, numerous Event Managers and Coordinators, Chefs, Maintenance and the entire marketing team.
Job Duties
- Manage strategic events, both onsite and offsite, as assigned or approved by DOM and VP of Marketing. Provide strategy, planning, budgets, sponsorship opportunities, itineraries, action items, timelines, execution, billing/reconciliation, and other deliverables as appropriate. Serve as a liaison on behalf of marketing to ensure each event offers the opportunity to learn more about real estate and membership opportunities.
- Work with DOM and VP to execute events including travel arrangements, accommodations, meeting rooms, transportation, maps to locations, contact details for clients, hotels, meeting rooms, collateral, etc.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, VP, and DOM to structure an effective strategy, marketing plan and budget for partnerships. Coordinate, leverage and execute multifaceted brand partnerships on property in an effort to enhance member benefits and expand Kiawah Island Real Estate’s lead acquisition and prospect database. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Club teams on the front line through ongoing education and promotion of brand partnerships.
- Collaborate on KIRE discovery program to increase sales and immerse clients in the Kiawah lifestyle. Work with Club management and DOM to ensure Kiawah Island discovery experience exemplifies the overall Kiawah Island Club experience as a Member. Ensure all pre-arrival communications and tools are complete and adhered to and work with teams to ensure the best experience possible. Manage VIP group visits specifically.
- Leverage marketing and lead acquisition opportunities within the Partners’ charitable giving strategy and sponsorship program. Manage the public relations and community outreach initiatives for each commitment if applicable.
- Work with DOM and Executive Editor of Legends Magazine to strategize business plan, budget, editorial calendar, distribution strategies, and marketing plan. Coordinate editorial production of photoshoots and access to Club for editor as needed.
- Work with DOM and VP to manage public relations strategy for Kiawah Island Club and Kiawah Partners. Work with PR agency and internal team on relevant and newsworthy public relations angles. Collaborate and strategize with PR team on hosting media and plan out trip from pre to post arrival. Assist with hosting media while onsite.
- Leverage Club programming and notable activations by creating content to use for new lead prospecting. Create and manage marketing campaigns and content within the marketing calendar, website, communications, social and other campaign strategies. Meet regularly with team to review projects, progress, and budget accountability.
- Prepare project reports as needed for the Leadership Team and Ownership. Prepare materials in advance of company meetings, business development activities, board meetings or client/project meetings.
- Contribute to the team effort in providing high quality, professional and friendly servant leadership to members, employees, management team, members, prospects, vendors and clients; cooperate with staff throughout the company and develop productive, strong relationships while maintaining confidentiality on relevant matters.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years Corporate Event Planning, Marketing, Event Marketing, Public Relations
- Project Management experience at an executive level in a mid-size company
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of Real Estate, Club and Hospitality businesses preferred
- Superior strategic planning, critical thinking and verbal/writing skills.
- Assertive and exceptionally organized with the ability to multi-task to keep projects on track.
- Exceptional attention to and follow-through.
- Proven time management skills.
- Exceptional relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced work environment with many demands.
- Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, Acrobat and PowerPoint. Gsuite experience helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to talk and hear.
- The associate is required to walk, carry, sit, and occasionally is required to stand.
- The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 35 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderately quiet to high volume entertainment
