• Follow work instructions to comply with customer expectations and industry standards.
• Perform work as assigned and report any issues.
• Assist in other areas as needed; assembly, quality, shipping & receiving.
• Assist with miscellaneous shop maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, taking proper care of all equipment.
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform surface pre-treatment, conditioning and cleaning as required (chemically, mechanically) to prepare for patina application on brass, copper, and other metals.
• Polishing brass and aluminum parts using a variety of stationary and portable grinders, files, buffing wheels and sanders.
• Grind, sand, clean, or polish parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
• Cleaning and activating parts, submerging parts in light chemical solution, rinsing, hand finishing and drying.
• Assist Industrial Painter with prepping, mixing paint, and spraying parts.
• Assist Lead CNC Machinist with machinery set up and operation of milling machines, lathes, grinders, sanders and other equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.

• At least 2-3 years of experience working in a machining (production) environment.
• Proven experience in welding or brazing preferred.
• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Experience working with brass and aluminum is a plus.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with power tools.
• Diligence, attention to detail, and good eyesight.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent reading comprehension and capacity to follow written directions.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
