Job description

Reporting to the Machining and Fabrication Supervisor, this is an entry level position. The Fabricator will fabricate parts from various sheet metals, plastics, gasket material, and other materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate a variety of machinery
• Operate fabricating equipment such as press brakes, rolls, shears, grinders, drill presses, punch presses, and milling machines.
• Use hand tools to bend, cut and form components
• Locate and mark work piece bend and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications
• Mechanical assembly ability to work from blueprints
• Inspection of parts to ensure that it conforms to specifications
• Package or crate parts for shipment

Qualifications for this role:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• General fabrication experience or a successful graduate of any recognized apprenticeship, or vocational program
• Basic Math Skills
• Must be able to read and work from blueprints and written specifications
• Operate various material-moving equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, gantry cranes, etc
• Use of a variety of measuring devices, micrometers, calipers, etc
• Working knowledge of basic computer functions
• Welding experience is a plus
