Role Summary

Responsible for developing mechanical and electrical solutions (in concert with manufacturing engineering) to support the launch of new processes and to support the improvement of existing processes. Mechanical or electrical solutions can vary in size from a simple hand tool to an elaborate or large process machine.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to develop mechanical and electrical solutions (in concert with manufacturing engineering) to support the launch of new processes and to support the improvement of existing processes. Mechanical or electrical solutions can vary in size from a simple hand tool to an elaborate or or large process machine.
• Develop and Maintain the RFQ’s for all supplier quotes for mechanical and electrical solutions.
• Participate fully in the AIM Systems CI team to ensure goals are met.
• Lead sustainability projects for AIM Systems
• Coordinate engineering modifications and new projects for all mechanical installations and plant layouts. Ensure all work is in accordance with local and state regulations.
• Assume project management responsibilities for any project assigned by management and ensure that all timelines are met.
• Provide bid specifications for potential vendors as required for specific projects.
• Provide regular progress reports on the timeline schedules for all projects.
• Ensure all machine documentation is maintained according to the AIM Systems requirements.
• Continuously review and consider new technologies as they might apply to AIM Systems. Make recommendations to the management team as to their benefits along with feasibility and justification for such technologies.
• Provide mechanical engineering support as required as it applies to all other aspects of the current and any future production systems.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

Educational Requirements:

 A minimum of a bachelor degree in a related field or relevant work experience is required.

Work Experience Requirements:

 A minimum of two years experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment is required.
 2+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
 Experience with manufacturing issues relative to component fabrication and assembly.
 Able to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables on an aggressive schedule
 Demonstrated ability to work with engineers from various disciplines
 Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
 Ability to present ideas clearly to others using a variety of presentation media.
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
