Job description
Duties include but are not limited to:
- conducting daily safety and mechanical operational checks of each vineyard tractor operated
- responsible for safe and efficient operation of each tractor operated in a vineyard setting
- the work schedule will vary, day and night over a 24 hour period as it relates to the delivery schedule of the grapes being harvested
- ability to notice and report safety and mechanical concerns during vineyard tractor operation
- must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
- assist in the clean-up, repair and maintenance of various types of vineyard harvesting machines
Due to the nature of the harvest season vineyard tractor drivers must have the emotional and physical endurance necessary to work long hours in various weather conditions. Drivers are required to maintain pleasant communications at all times when dealing with customers and co-workers.
All vineyard tractor drivers are subject to a random drug and alcohol testing program.
