Andrew Morgan Consulting seeks a full-time Federal Budget/Financial Analyst to support our Client in Arlington, Virginia. The Budget/Financial Analyst will assist in the long and short-range budget planning, to include the delivery of the vision and mission, work plans, and financials. The Budget/Financial Analyst will provide in-depth knowledge on driving the understanding of value from the implementation of client solutions. The Analyst will conduct the implementation of practical solutions and cost methodologies using required industry practices and will be knowledgeable on complex client budgetary and financial issues. The Analyst will coordinate tasks for the Financial Team, to include reviewing work products, all adhering to the KPIs that will meet client goals and mission objectives. The Analyst will ensure completion of projects within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
Role, Responsibilities, and Performance Outcomes.
- Coordinate with the Financial Lead to collectively achieve client financial analysis and budgetary goals.
- Organizes and coordinates meetings and planning sessions to ensure budgetary program support activities are productive and within the constraints agreed upon by the client and the greater team.
- Implements workforce and funding requirements to ensure organization accomplishes its mission.
- Implements and tracks goals and objectives for programs and projects in support of POM and spend plan completion.
- Conducts both quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of business workflow processes and recommends the planning for corrective courses of action.
- Presents information derived from data and process analyses to various clients with proficiency in oral, visual, and written communications.
- Communicates with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Completes all assigned actions and tasks within suspense period.
- Fully capable of collecting, compiling, editing, analyzing, and presenting data.
- In-depth knowledge of financial, project, and program management principles.
Required Education.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as business, management, finance, accounting, or related field.
Required Experience.
5+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Process improvement projects
- Budgeting and making recommendations based on findings
- Financial data and accounting practices surrounding Federal budgeting matters
- Presentations on data-informed recommendations
- Presenting findings to executive level clients
- Facilitating client management teams through change processes and delivering presentations
- Leading client meetings
- Using agile and/or project management methodology to ensure timeliness of deliverables and a collective awareness of budgetary constraints and milestones
- Directing the budgetary activities that will govern success and drive progress toward client KPIs and mission objectives
Desired Experience, Education, and/or Certifications.
- DoD Financial Management Certification – Level II (DFMC-2)
- DoD-recognized Test-based FM Certification (See DoD FM Certification brief for list); or DAU Practitioner Certification in Business Financial Management (BFM) or Business Cost Estimating (BCE)
Clearance.
Ability to obtain Public Trust (DoD CAC), required.
Salary.
Salary is commensurate with both experience and location.
Location.
The primary location for work to be performed is REMOTE; however, client and team meetings may require travel to Arlington, VA (Rosslyn) and Alexandria, VA (Old Town).
