IMMEDIATE OPENINGS - We're hiring reliable delivery drivers to distribute packages safely and promptly to customers within established routes and to represent KMMR Business Group Inc. in a professional and efficient manner. This is a non-CDL position. Candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply. KMMR is an independent service provider for FedEx Ground operating out of the West Henrietta, NY terminal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect & operate a delivery vehicle
• Follow DOT, FedEx, traffic regulations & safety standards
• Load/unload & organize packages into & from the delivery vehicle
• Deliver a wide variety of items to homes & businesses within KMMR's territory
• Use an iPad tablet & scanner to follow routes & manage packages
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Must pass a background verification (i.e., state & federal criminal; social security number verification, motor vehicle record search for accidents, DWI, speeding, etc.)
• Must pass a pre-hire drug test with random drug tests once employed (DOT regulations do not exclude marijuana even with prescription)
• Must pass DOT physical & re-certify as required
• Valid & clean NY driver’s license with no traffic violations
• High school degree or equivalency (GED)

Skills

• Verifiable delivery driver work experience (1 year within the last 3 years)
• Excellent driving skills & ability to safely operate FedEx trucks in a variety of weather & traffic conditions
• Ability to safely lift, move & carry packages up to 150lbs with handcart off & onto the delivery vehicle continuously throughout the workday - THIS JOB IS VERY PHYSICAL
• Comfortable learning & working with an iPad tablet & scanner
• Proficient organizational & time management skills
• Professional demeanor; clean & neat appearance
• Good communicator with customers, managers & co-workers
• Flexible to change as needed
• Independent worker & team player

Job Type

• Weekday & weekend days required
• Typical hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
• As needed, 6 days weekly during peak season (Thanksgiving through Christmas)

Salary

• Paid training starting $140 daily rate; weekly rate $700-$800
• Raises based on performance
