FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER THE ROLE

The Field Operations Manager will hold the reins on all jobs happening in the field, every day. You will organize the vehicles that are optimal for each job, assign the best teams to the work and ensure they have the materials and equipment necessary to successfully complete their tasks. You will track vehicles as they move through delivery routes, visit job sites of complex projects or high-profile clients and deftly problem-solve any issues that arise, from shifting client needs to human errors. You will report directly to the founder and COO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Meet teams in Red Hook, Brooklyn (at the truck lot) and do roll call at 7:30am and ensure teams are equipped with appropriate materials and detailed info to complete their work for the day
● Dispatching and tracking of vehicles and workers throughout the day, sometimes in the field, sometimes from the office
● Recommend and implement process improvements
● Assess field employee performance and conduct ongoing training that ranges from physical (wrapping, packing, assembling, securing) to procedural (handbook protocol)
● Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed per our company and each job site (i.e. freight elevator usage, parking, PPE, etc)
● Potentially work six days a week; Sundays always free, Saturdays sometimes required
● Communicate effectively and professionally with clients that range from NYC residents to luxury designers

ABOUT YOU

● Experience at a logistics company, moving company or comparable organization ● 3+ years of experience in a field-based role, like a lead foreman
● Motivating yet firm management style
● Proficiency with Google suite and ability to learn new software
● Strong organizational skills to manage many moving parts and concurrent projects
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
● Highly dependable with an unwavering work ethic that sets an example for others

DETAILS AND COMPENSATION

● You will be paid a weekly salary on Fridays
● If you drive your own car to work, we will pay for gas, tolls and parking
● Our shared office space offers gym access, weekly meditation, Friday drinks and more, which can be accessed when the day’s jobs are complete
● Fully comped Aflac-provided health benefits after 90 days
● 401K available after 90 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
