Overview:
The Finance Assistant Analyst is a key asset to the Credit Risk Center of Excellence, heavily involved in the day-to-day management of risk mitigation strategies with an emphasis on new and existing customer credit reviews, financial analysis, reporting, and maintenance of customer data. The volume, complexity, and divergent sources of information to review in this position requires an understanding of accounting and finance. This position will get exposure across the organization by working cross-functionally across several business lines. The Credit Risk Team is part of the Finance Global Business Service Control Team, a dynamic Center of Excellence that provides a broad range of financial services to all PepsiCo businesses within North America and thought leadership for financial processes globally.
General Summary:
The Finance Assistant Analyst is a key asset to the Credit Risk Center of Excellence, heavily involved in the day-to-day management of risk mitigation strategies with an emphasis on new and existing customer credit reviews, financial analysis, reporting, and maintenance of customer data. The volume, complexity, and divergent sources of information to review in this position requires an understanding of accounting and finance. This position will get exposure across the organization by working cross-functionally across several business lines. Credit Risk Management: 60%
- Review new customer credit applications, analyze customer credit worthiness, document and defend your position
- Assist with defining and implementing risk mitigation strategies for high risk and post-petition (bankrupt) accounts
- Evaluate, prioritize, and monitor existing customer accounts to ascertain credit risk
- Review and analyze various trade and financial publications to determine and identify potential negative customer trends
- Act as single point of contact for field partner and / or customer escalations
- Partner with the broader Credit Risk group on ad hoc quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Network with Sales and Credit professionals to assess market and channel risk
Special Projects / Analytics: 25%
- Lead ad hoc projects designed to optimize the credit risk mitigation platform
- Stay up to date with current industry technologies, best practices, and trends to proactively influence processes
- Analytically mine the portfolio to proactively minimize losses
- Creatively challenges norms
Personal Development: 15%
- Seek out ways for continuous improvement, both personally and professionally
- Participate in trainings and coachings to develop relevant skillset
- At least 3 years of related work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required (business related field preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving, numbers aptitude and analytical skills
- Negotiation and influence skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize workload, with a demonstrated results orientation
- Strong technical skills including demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Detail oriented, organized, and focused on deadline requirements
- Must be flexible and a team player
- Aptitude to work with minimal supervision – must be a self-starter
- High level understanding of commercial contracts and / or bankruptcy preferred
- SAP experience preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $48,500- $72,700 based on a full-time schedule- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
