Financial Coach
WiNGS is a non-profit agency that supports women in realizing their fullest potential and a path to a better life. Formerly
known as the YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas, WiNGS served nearly 2,000 individuals in Dallas County last year. If you want

The Financial Coach plays a key role in our Economic Advancement Program, working one-on-one with members to set
financial goals, learn budgeting tools, reduce debt and increase credit, savings and income. You don’t have to have an in-
depth knowledge of financial principles, just a desire to encourage and motivate others. WiNGS provides intensive training
on our coaching methodology. Evening and weekend hours are required for this position. Fluency in Spanish is desired.
The Salary for this position is $52k-$55k.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in the WiNGS coaching methodology. Work 1:1 with members to develop financial goals and action plans.
- Document and track member progress, prepare progress reports, celebrate successes.
- Facilitate education curriculum on a variety of financial topics.
- Research and stay current on industry practices and trends.
- Establish positive relationships with community partners.
- Connect members with financial resources and support services.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred; minimum of 2-4 years prior experience working with
- Commitment to WiNGS mission and values including an understanding of barriers faced by low-income families.
- Personal qualities of maturity, self-awareness, empathy, flexibility, cultural humility, and an exceptional capacity for
- Commitment to innovation, excellence, and entrepreneurship. Open to testing and evaluating new ideas, ability to
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to be an effective and persuasive advocate for WiNGS.
- Ability to complete work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation for local travel; out of state travel may be required.
