Controller

A Controller, or Comptroller, is responsible for overseeing financial statements like balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Their duties include directing Accounting Managers and department operations, compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. This person is typically a CPA. A Certified Public Accountant performs compilations and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, reviews new requirements, ensures clients are educated, provides business advisory services, and prepares fiduciary tax returns for individuals, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships, Trusts, and Non-Profit Organizations.

Ideal qualifications for the Controller include:

● CPA certification

● At least three years of experience as an accountant or similar position

● Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance.

● Strong affinity for numerical procedures, statistics, and expert understanding of tax returns and related city, state, or federal regulations

● Keen organizational skills and strict attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $79,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
