Fire & Security Sales - Base Salary Plus Commission
Job description
The Fire and Security Sales team member is responsible for finding and developing customer relationships. Preparing cost estimates for the installation of electronic detection, video, access control and fire alarm systems. This position will analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates to aid management in bidding on or determining price of product and or service.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare cost estimates for installation of electronic detection, video, access control and fire alarm systems for retrofit and new construction projects or services
· Build customer relationships with business owners, contractors, and decision makers
· Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
· May specialize according to particular service performed or type of product manufactured
· Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
· Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors and or subcontractors
· Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
· Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
· Review and process project change requests, acting as liaison between clients and the contractors regarding cost maintenance and changes
· Perform other duties as required
Competencies:
· Strong math/computation skills
· Strong computer skills (company proposal software, Adobe, Smart Draw and Microsoft Office Suite)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements:
· Industry-related experience required
· Education, certifications or experience in Electrical/Electronic Equipment Installation & repair, Engineering, or Industrial Technology/Technician are desirable
· Valid Oklahoma State sales license or equivalent
· Valid drivers license
