FLOW CYTOMETRY TECHNOLOGIST
DAY SHIFT - MONDAY - FRIDAY 1ST SHIFT - DAYS & HOURS ARE FLEXIBLE!

The Flow Cytometry Laboratory Technician will be an integral part of a small team which is responsible for all aspects of daily workflow in the Flow Cytometry wet lab. Expected to have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as utilize complex problem-solving skills to aid in completing expected tasks as well as resolving potential workflow issues.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Perform QA/QC as needed per laboratory SOP
- Perform preventative maintenance, clean and sterilize work surfaces, equipment and instruments
- Assist in maintaining inventory to ensure proper levels of reagents, control and disposables
- Troubleshoot equipment and protocols
- Adhere to all laboratory policies and procedures
- Meet/exceed quality guidelines as they relate to performance, documentation and compliance
- Work in a team environment, as well as independently, as required
- Check and verify daily QC results
- Maintain monthly antibody checks
- Maintain instrument comparisons as needed
- Process lot checks, validations and various other quality control specimens
- Work with the various vendors in order to troubleshoot instrumentation issues
- Analyze patient samples as well as QC sample with Beckman Coulter's Kaluza analysis software
- Gate normal and common disease states with Kaluza software
- Assist in sample in take
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences) or related area is required
- ASCP certification preferred
- Knowledge of Beckman Coulter flow cytometers preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Sense of ownership and integrity of their work.
- A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated organizational skills; including but not limited to attention to detail and multitasking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
