Job description
As a Shop Foreman, you are a valued member of our team, you will:
- Assign of work in a productive manner to achieve quality repairs and ensure that promised estimated time of repair is achieved.
- Maintain constant and accurate communications with Service Advisors
- Repair vehicles to Factory specs.
- Challenge technicians with assigned work.
- Coach Technicians, recommending training, and discipline as necessary.
- Directly supervise technician Trainees.
- Provide technical support to technicians and management.
- Follow Customer Contact and Communication Policy.
- Notify Service Manager of broken tools, and unsafe conditions.
- Other duties may be assigned at any time based on departmental needs.
Preferred Candidates have the following:
- Minimum seven years heavy duty truck mechanical experience
- Three to five years of supervisory experience. Will train motivated candidate.
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary for communicating with customers, management, employees and vendors
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand financial information as it pertains to dealership operations
- High School Diploma - College or Technical training preferred but not mandatory
- Valid Drivers License
