We’re looking for a professional front desk receptionist to join our team in Allen, TX! You’ll play a crucial role as the face and first point of contact for our organization. Other responsibilities include answering phone calls and emails, making travel arrangements, scheduling emails, managing mail and deliveries, and other assignments as needed to ensure efficient business operations. $16 - $19 hourly
Responsibilities:- Greets patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone
- Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patients’ arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the reception area
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording, and collecting patients' charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain referrals and prior authorizations as needed
- Helps patients in distress by responding to urgencies and emergencies
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information
- High school diploma/GED required
- A minimum of two (2) years of medical front office experience is required
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Experience using multi-line phone systems
- Experience scheduling
- Excellent patient service and patient relationship skills
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
