Objective

Utilizing an electronic tablet, repetitively monitor critical food quality processes on an hourly cycle. The scope of the food quality processes being monitored will be dynamic and will be periodically update to reflect changing priorities and focus.

Organizational Relationships

Reports directly to QA Supervisor & coordinates with QA Tech on duty. Internal Contacts: MPF HACCP Coordinator, Director of Poultry Operations, VP of Poultry Processing, Production Supervisors, Receiving Manager, Production Employees & Plant Security

Primary Job Duties

• Follow the pre-programmed sequence on the electronic tablet and attempt to complete the process monitoring of the flowchart within a 30 minute time allotment.
• Immediately report any process deficiency to the QA Technician on Duty-or the QA Supervisor.
• Consult with both the QA Tech on Duty and plant management to verify the scope of the deficiency and the corrective action to be taken.
• Ensure that the attached Identification Stickers OR the USDA approved label with the establishment’s Mark of Inspection match the physical finished product in the case.
• Follow-up on specific customer complaints at the direction of the QA Supervisor.
• Perform QA Tracking duties when needed; be able to track product from time of receiving to production and be able to track unused product from production to cold storage.

Position Pre-Requisites

Minimum: High School Diploma and related food safety experience.

Skill Requirements

Be able to perform basic math and be observant. Be able to follow directions and instructions.

Physical Requirements

Requires the ability to withstand a cold climate for at least 8 hours a day. Ability to bend, squat lift and move around machinery.
