Full Charge Bookkeeper
Job description
Full charge bookkeeper.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Verifies, allocates and posts accounts payable transactions.
- Manages payments to maximize vendor discounts.
- Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files.
- Process credit memos.
- Responds to vendor inquiries.
- Monthly closings.
- Accounts Receivable – Responsible for daily deposit preparation, cash box reconciliation, posting deposits.
- Enter payroll into accounting system (payroll processed by outside vendor).
- Maintenance of accurate, balanced books in compliance with standard accounting procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements
- Control and balance petty cash.
- Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and any other reports requested by owners or administrator.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college with focus in business administration or accounting, preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience as full time full charge bookkeeper.
Requirements
- Highly fluent in English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced skill in Intuit QuickBooks Professional.
- Advanced skill in MS Excel.
- Intermediate skill in MS Outlook and Word
- Ability to work independently and effectively and efficiently manage time, tasks, and records
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Familiarity with integrated practice management software concepts and experience with DOS-based programs.
