NovusWay Ministries (NovusWay, Inc.) is a progressive, growing outdoor ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located across the southeastern United States that includes the camps and conference centers of Lutheridge, Lutherock, Luther Springs and Lutheranch.
Qualifications
The Donor Relation Specialist shall be a person committed to Jesus Christ and the church and be dedicated to working in a church related organization. A minimum of 1 year office experience working in a donor CRM software is preferred. The Donor Relation Specialist shall have experience in Microsoft Office and have the ability to become proficient in Donor Perfect fundraising software. He/she shall have strong communication, listening and telephone skills and the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner. Accuracy is a must.
General Responsibilities
The primary role of the Donor Relation Specialist is to track and maintain records on all gifts received at NovusWay, for capital campaigns, projects and the annual fund, and to generate acknowledgement letters for those donors. The Donor Relation Specialist will also provide support for print/email publications and mailings and will coordinate the work of development office volunteers. The Financial Development Executive Director will supervise the position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A.Development Related:

• Maintain accurate donor records and data integrity in Donor Perfect.
• Track donor gifts in Donor Perfect and produce appropriate acknowledgement letters to donorsfor capital campaigns, project, and annual fund gifts, as well as memorial and honorarium gifts.
• Produce updated reports as needed by the Financial Development Executive Director, Finance, andother staff members in various departments.
• Provide quality customer service to all stakeholders of the ministry.

B.Office Functions:

• Train and coordinate volunteers for telephone calls, for office and for development functions. TheDonor Relation Specialist will be responsible for answering all incoming calls to the Developmentline and responding to questions or directing callers to the appropriate staff person.
• Support to Financial Development Executive Director with scheduling, travel arrangements andclerical duties as needed.
• Assist Development Department with hosted events and fundraisers as needed.
• Assist the Financial Development Executive Director and/or other deployed development staffwith segmentations and mailings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Support
The Donor Relation Specialist shall participate in an annual performance review conducted by the Financial Development Executive Director of NovusWay as outlined in NovusWay personnel policy.
The Donor Relation Specialist may be a member of various teams to help accomplish the role. For example, these may include but are not limited to the NovusWay All Staff Team, NovusWay Development Team, etc.
Compensation and Benefits
As specified in signed Memo of Understanding and according to provisions of the NovusWay personnel policies for Category VII employees. This is a full-time, salary, exempt position.
