Small Engine/STIHL Repair Technician Job Description

Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of our STIHL/Small Engine Repair Technician are to provide amazing customer service and repair, service and diagnose small engine and STIHL equipment. Technicians are also responsible for assembling and selling small engine units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform service to power equipment including mowers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, blowers, generators, and pumps in timely and efficient manner
• Review manuals and warranties accurately
• Clearly explain diagnosis and required repairs to customers including warranty claims
• Maintain shop cleanliness and uphold all shop requirements
• Observe all safety and security procedures
• Coordinate parts ordering
• Participate in all training and development
• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Small engine repair experience is preferred, willing to train the right candidate
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Standing/bending/moving for long periods of time in a shop environment
• Climbing ladders several times during a shift
• Lifting/adjusting/moving objects up to 75lbs
