Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Clerk I is responsible for assisting in administrative functions for organization perform special projects as assigned. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the organization may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position follows clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file; could involve simple posting to individual accounts.
  • Open and distribute mail.
  • Operates basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.
  • Pass and maintain any required security clearance requirement and comply with Drug Free Workplace policy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to effectively work with team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • 1 year relevant work experience as a clerk within a contract of similar size and scope to which they are assigned.
  • Microsoft Office Suite or related software experience a plus.
