Job Description: General Manager

General Manager is a strategic business leader who is responsible for managing all aspects of the club including the daily operations of the Club, its activities, relationships between the club and its members, guests, employees, and community while maintaining a high standard of excellence while promoting a People First Culture. monitors the quality of the club’s products and services and ensures maximum member and guest satisfaction.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manages financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective action plans.
  • Identifies and manages the club’s budget; monitors revenues and expenses of the club and generates weekly/monthly revenue reports; manages the daily financial needs and ensures proper billing/invoicing of all course activity and functions; vendor reconciliation and collections calls.
  • Oversee daily clubhouse operations while maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, while complying with legal regulations.
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities (including but not limited to supply orders, food, beverage & other vendor orders & monitoring, system maintenance, building maintenance and repairs, etc.)
  • Oversees and monitors the quality of the club’s products and services and ensures maximum member and guest satisfaction.
  • Develops, maintains and disseminates a basic management philosophy to guide all personnel toward optimal results, employee morale and member/guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems while maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitors safety conditions and employees’ conformance with safety procedures; updates emergency plans and procedures and assures that effective training for these programs is conducted in all departments.
  • Responsible for supervision and training of the Events Coordinator, banquet staff and Grille Room staff.
  • Consistently ensures that the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate both internally and externally consistently and concisely via various communication channels.
  • Promotes and ensures cooperation between banquet, Grille Room and kitchen staff
  • Works cooperatively to execute all Member Events and Programs with member and committee feedback.
  • Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and employees to assure maximum member satisfaction.
  • Serves as the community liaison for the club; meets with special interest groups when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
