This position reports to: Operations Manager, Group Air

The Group Air Specialist assists clients with groups of 10 or more passengers traveling anywhere in the world. Group Air Specialists set up group travel in coordination with the group air team or taking the lead position for a group, or book groups as sole travel manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Negotiate airline contracts on behalf of the client
- Ensure all contracts and inventories are setup correctly to avoid underutilization or penalties
- Create reports as required by client; set up broadcast reports
- Audit reports for accuracy
- Work hand in hand with Meeting and Incentives for hotels and ground transportation
- Utilize the GDS to coordinate travel arrangements
- Provide one on one attention to each group client
- Establish and maintain a positive rapport with our preferred suppliers and clients
- Follows all Company policies and procedures in a professional manner
Skills/Qualifications:

- At least 3 years corporate travel/group travel experience
- GDS knowledge; Sabre, a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
- Ability to remain organized and professional in a very busy environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Problem solving, critical thinking skills
- Must have excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills

Education and/or Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of corporate travel agent and/or group travel experience
- 3 – 5 years of customer service experience
PC Skills:
Position requires general working knowledge of the following: Internet searching, MS Office (e.g., MA Word and Excel) and GDS (Sabre, a plus)
Language Skills:
Ability, to communicate in standard business English both written and spoken. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations to customer, clients and other employees of the organization.

Travel (for positions requiring travel):
- Requires ability to travel by car, plane and train for prolonged periods of time domestically and internationally and to move and transport personal luggage.
