Salon Bohemia is looking for hair assistants/apprentices to grow our team. Flexible part time and full time options available.
We are a salon that specializes in all hair textures and color services. We are a constant learning environment with bi-weekly classes and on the floor training. You will learn different techniques in cutting and color and to work with all hair textures. All of our stylists are promoted from assistant/ apprentice positions.
Requirements
1. Must have or be in the process of getting your NYC Cosmetology License
2. Desire to learn and grow, with passion for education & growth, and driven to continuously improve and an eagerness to learn new skills and techniques
3. Ability to be a team player in a fast paced environment
4. Strong multi-tasking, active listening and communication skills
5. Salon experience is preferred, but not required
6. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays
Duties
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist stylists with caping, shampooing, conditioning and applying hair treatments to salon guests. Assist in preparing for and cleaning up after hair color services. Keep sink area, stylist stations and surrounding floors tidy. Assist in the washing, drying and folding of salon towels and capes. Provide value added services as needed by stylists or guests. Ensuring the comfort of each guest by offering a beverage and anything else they may need. Cross train in front desk duties.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
