Milaca Elim Meadows, a 5-star, 70-bed facility with a 12-bed Rehab Unit, is seeking a bright, organized Full-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team! In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has ICD-10 training, a knowledge of medical terminology, has been a TMA, and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator is preferred.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working a varied schedule. Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:

• Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
• Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
• Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
• Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
• Complete other tasks as requested.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) skills and requirements:

• Must be a Trained Medication Aide (TMA).
• 2+ years’ experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
• Must have ICD-10 training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
• Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
