TransAmerica, a premier IT consulting and technical staffing company is expanding our help desk team. These help desk positions are a great opportunity to begin or advance your career in IT with an increasing range of responsibilities. Preference given to candidates with an IT degree/background and preferably some help desk experience. Work performed remotely.
The help desk team is the initial point of contact for all Information Technology issues. The team supports users at every skill level and background via telephone, email, Web chat, and direct ticket submission.
Duties include providing technical support to computer customers needing assistance with account administration (password resets and account unlocks), distribution of software, hardware and software troubleshooting, remote access and VPN support, and service / support request entry via an Incident tracking system. If unable to resolve requests at first contact, steps are taken to escalate to other technical teams. Candidates will go through internal training and will need to pass a background check.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers and solid understanding of basic IT concepts.
- A basic understanding of IT troubleshooting.
- We are customer service focused and need technicians who communicate clearly and express passion for what they do.
- We prefer candidates that have some experience in an IT role or IT help desk experience.
- Experience with the following tools:VPNs
Active Directory
MS Office
ITSM Tools (Ticketing Systems)
- High School diploma with 1 year IT/help desk experience or a Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.36 per hour
