Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a HIV Testing and PrEP Coordinator:
- Standardize HIV testing protocols throughout the organization.
- Develop training materials for HIV prevention with clinical staff incorporating HIV testing, PrEP and STI screening and update as needed.
- Track staff training and evaluates staff prevention training needs.
- Provide HIV prevention to all clinical staff agency-wide through team meetings, orientation and special trainings.
- Develop a HIV testing procedure manual.
- Works cooperatively and collaboratively with managers and clinical teams throughout the agency.
- Maintains data regarding HIV, PrEP and STI screenings, identifies areas for improvement, and works with clinical teams to improve screenings.
- Participate in prevention collaboratives to enhance knowledge of best practices in prevention screening and treatment.
- Conduct chart audits for quality assurance.
- Work with leadership to improve electronic medical record charting and capacity for report writing and dashboard development.
Minimum Education Requirement: Valid New York State LPN License or equivalent training
Minimum Work Related Experience : 1-2 years
Minimum Required Specialized Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of prevention related issues
- Ability to communicate in English (orally & written)
- Ability to present information clearly and confidently
Salary Range: $49,140.00-$54,600.00/yearly
