We are Walnut Grill, and we are expanding to the beautiful Ballantyne neighborhood of Charlotte. We are seeking to attract and build a team of exceptional hospitality professionals.

Your role as Host - Hostess at Walnut Grill is extremely important to our success. You must be efficient to successfully complete your tasks. Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner. Seat guests and manages Open Table. Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

Must live within commuting of the restaurant and be authorized to work in the US.

$13 - $15 yearly

• Taking accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations
• Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return
• Assists in tasks to ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe restaurant
• Basic housekeeping skills including wiping down counters, dusting, windows, etc.
• Follow all company policies & procedures

• A minimum of one-year of restaurant guest service or related experience is preferred.
• Quickly complete opening and closing duties each shift ensuring you and your peers are set for success
• Manage running side work efficiently
• Experience using OpenTable or a similar reservation seating system is a plus but not required
• This position requires full mobility and the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to work on your feet for an extended time

The Walnut Grill concept began in 1999 when four friends joined together with a common goal: to develop a full-service restaurant with a local feel, inviting to our guests, and serving them outstanding food and beverage in Pittsburgh, PA. All of our menu items are made with fresh, quality ingredients.

Each of our exceptionally credentialed and talented staff is fully committed to our mission of taking care of our guests with a local feel and serving them with outstanding food and beverage. From the establishment of our first restaurant in Pittsburgh PA, we have expanded to 10 locations bringing that same desire to take care of every guest that privileges us with their presence.
