We are in search of a passionate and highly motivated Assistant General Manager for our Hampton by Hilton Medina hotel!


You will assist the General Manager with a professional and positive attitude with the day-to-day operations: administration, breakfast, front desk, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, night audit, revenue management, and sales.


This role also assists the GM with the primary responsibilities of operating the hotel.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create an efficient, professional, and upbeat culture
  • Establish personal and team goals and execute plans to achieve them
  • Hire optimistic team members and provide constructive criticism
  • Complete annual reviews promoting advancement for future leaders
  • Thoroughly know and implement brand standards, and brand QA Inspection expectations
  • Adhere to management company policies and procedures, and demonstrate strong moral principles
  • Ability to complete routine accounting procedures for the corporate office accurately and on time
  • Report incidents verbally and written to regional management and the corporate office
  • Inspect guestrooms and public areas inside and outside of the property for safety, cleanliness, and appeal
  • Engage with guests to solicit their feedback to address immediate concerns and prevent issues from repeating
  • Improve profit and minimize loss by analyzing financial statements frequently
  • Know competitor hotels' strengths and weaknesses, and establish relationships with them

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of proven successful (hotel) management experience
  • Exceptional customer service, and problem-solving skills, while focusing on problem avoidance
  • Professional and kindhearted communication skills; email/written and verbal
  • Powerful leadership competence, contributing to overall team member retention
  • Ability to take ownership of problems that arise and overcome them with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of basic accounting skills and computer programs
  • Push, pull, lift and or carry objects up to 40+ pounds, walk upstairs, long distances, and or stand for long periods at a time
  • Pass an FBI and BCI background check, and random drug screening
