At Grand Casino, your challenge is to act as a representative and promoter of the Hospitality Department. The work you do will enrich and build the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe who take pride in their communities and seeing the growth and development.
As Grand Casino’s Hotel Ambassador, you will be working directly with our Guests to ensure a positive experience at all touch points. We are looking for individuals who are caring, passionate about our Guests, willing to learn, and want to have fun at work.
Organizational aptitude: You are a strong individual contributor capable of executing multiple work streams.
Execution machine: You thrive under pressure, consistently meeting expectations and commitments on tight deadlines, all while managing a variety of tasks and relationships in an efficient and meticulous manner. You lead through our values, while energizing people.
This position is designed for progression, mastery of one level must be demonstrated before promoting up.
During any given day you will be able to utilize your skills to deliver excellent service to our Guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for delivering excellent Guest Service in an upbeat, friendly manner.
- Encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity with all Associates, by setting a positive example at all times.
- Participates as a team member with Grand Casino associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of guest service.
- Responsible for always maintaining a clean and sanitary work area in full accordance with state, tribal and Grand Casino’s health regulations.
- Communicates with Guests including wait times, verifying reservations and general information about the Casino.
- Able to follow Supervisor’s direction for performing tasks efficiently and safely. Address any Guest complaints to resolve them quickly and courteously in accordance to department standards or directs guest to appropriate person to resolve.
- Participates as a team member with any Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Guest Service.
- Responsible for execution of various roles such as Hotel Ambassador, Hotel Room Attendant, Gift Shop Attendant as needed. Golf Ranger or Pro Staff and RV Attendant (Grand Casino Hinckley only)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) year experience in hospitality, or customer service industries preferred.
- Money-handling experience preferred.
