Position Summary:

A busy family recently returning from living in London is looking to hire a knowledgeable House Manager, Butler, or Leader for their Southampton estate. The family will winter in Florida and plan to spend their summers in Southampton. We are looking to hire a person who has proven expertise in the following areas strong management of a small team and vendor management. We need a private service professional with either a strong hands-on property care skillset, or someone with exceptional interior/hospitality experience. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity to join an established team and manage a motivated staff.

Responsibilities:

General responsibilities will include:

• Managing the household staff and coordinating schedules.
• Serving as point of contact for the principals.
• Overseeing and scheduling vendors.
• Preparing the property for seasonal changes.
• Assisting with household projects.
• Maintaining inventories.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have either exceptional front-of-the-house skills or strong property care experience; must be a team player with great communication skills.Additional experience that is a plus: high-end event experience, proficiency with household technology, and/or experience with systems and infrastructure maintenance for a waterfront property.

Schedule:

Generally, a five-day work week; flexibility is required. This includes weekends in-season. The rest of the year is primarily a weekday schedule.

Compensation:

Excellent compensation of $125K + per year depending on experience and qualifications offered, plus a full benefits package (paid time off, health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, etc.). Annual review and bonus potential.
