Summary:
The housekeeper is a key and visible department employee working directly with all residents, families, and the community responsible for the development and implementation of the facility's cleanliness ad sanitation efforts, including janitorial duties and safety programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• fully understand all aspects of resident rights
• maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services to them
• Interact in a manner that promotes the emotional well being of the residents
• Respond to residents and family members concerns with empathy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner
• Identify materials from their labels and understand their directions for se and proper storage
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, lamps, window ledges, window blinds, base boards, fans, and air conditioner units
• Vacuum all carpeted floors
• Clean and wash all basins, commodes, lavatories, and fixtures
• Ensure facility and lavatories are free of objectionable odors
• Clean and disinfect all chrome fixtures to avoid water marks
• Spot clean all walls
• Pick up all bottles, paper, etc. from floors and rooms
• Wipe down all cabinet doors
• Mop all vinyl floors
• Daily removal of trash from all common areas
• Dispose of all garbage and waste in accordance with local regulations
• Attend to rooms that need to be thoroughly cleaned and stripped
• Identify any unsafe working areas or hazards or equipment that need repairing or replacement; report the information to the Maintenance Director and/or the Administrator
• Assist with laundry as necessary
• Attend required in-service training as necessary
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
