HR Coordinator

We are looking for an HR Coordinator whose passion for training and workforce development will make a lasting impact on our teams. You would be responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders with particular focus on remotely supporting administrative learning of HR systems, regulated training requirements, coordination of succession planning and other learning and development activity. This role is critical in helping our organization continue to grow and develop by training and upskilling our employees.


Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture while ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientations to build a strong foundation for new employees at administrative levels and higher, act as a primary contact and support for new employees;
  • Maintain and create Career Development Plans and support succession planning for high potential employees;
  • Maintenance of job description library and document identification and retention control;
  • Coordinate, schedule and execute training programs ensuring training initiatives are properly communicated to employees at administrative levels and higher and that employees are given fair timelines to complete training;
  • Maintain and update training materials, manuals, and other educational materials;
  • Liaise with the Total Quality and Training team on shared initiatives, in-house course content, and maintenance of HR section of Company portal;
  • Provide a timely response to training issues/questions on the application and interpretation of processes and company policies;
  • Evaluate the success of training programs through various methods, including observation, surveys, interviews, and feedback;
  • Use learning management systems to organize and monitor training progress;
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new learning and development opportunities;
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of best practices and industry trends related to people development, leadership, workplace learning and adult learning;
  • Perform other projects, duties, and assignments as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources preferred;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative capacity;
  • Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel);
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
  • Ability to motivate and engage employees;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to prepare effective reports and aesthetically pleasing presentations;
  • Ability to work with remote operations facilities.
