Overall Goal of Position:
To provide general support to the Human Resource Manager and assist in supporting payroll functions, while helping to make OurRecipe@Sauerbrands.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Coordinator is an entry level position responsible for providing a variety of HR services in support of the day-to-day operations and activities of the Richmond Plant. This position is required to assist in providing accurate and detailed tracking of attendance points, payroll, absenteeism as well as vacation leave for the hourly Teammates. The HR Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the HR Bulletin Boards, posting of all open positions, facilitating weekly New Hire Orientations; as well as the Employee Recognition Program.

The HR Coordinator is responsible for pre-screening and scheduling interviews for production and warehouse associates; assist in answering benefit questions as well as assist with open enrollment. While this position works closely with all levels of employees within the organization the HR Coordinator must demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, good judgment, and collaboration that reports to the HR Manager.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review, pre-screen and schedule for hourly production candidates
  • Conduct phone screens for production associates
  • Participate in community and college job fairs
  • Answer HR related policy questions for plant employees
  • Assist in developing & maintaining employee retention programs
  • Facilitate all aspects of the new hire process, pre-employment drug testing & new employee orientation.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies as needed to ensure accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Collaborates with HR Benefits Coordinator to conduct Open Enrollment.
  • Files and maintains hourly personnel files
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports from the payroll/HRIS system as required.
  • All other duties as assigned by Human Resource Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, and 2-year payroll experience a plus preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands on experience with an HR Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication, excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and be a team player with a "Can Do" attitude
  • Able to work independently with little to no supervision, work under time constraints and the ability to prioritize the workload.
  • · Technical Skills:
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
