We are looking for a Human Resources Representative to join our HR team!


The Human Resources Representative is an essential part of the HR team, acting as a liaison to employees and management, often serving as the first point of contact for employees, and triaging as appropriate. The Human Resource Representative is responsible to process HR functions within payroll, new hires and changes of status. Coordinates the support for all leave of absence cases to include general administration, claim management and program compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act and all related employment laws. The Representative will optimally use the HRIS system to collect data and create HR metrics in identified areas for management dashboard.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide optimal customer service to employees, providers and all levels of management, representing the department as a professional consultative partner.
  • Act as the first point of contact for benefit related questions, employment verifications and employee related correspondence and employee concerns
  • Triage call and/or act as a resource to employees and managers to resolve issues internally. Participate in employee relations troubleshooting issues within the HR Team, to assure adherence to policies and best practices
  • Enter all changes of statuses into HRIS System, oversee payroll process from Human Resource end.
  • Utilize HRIS System to track, create and update HR reports and metrics, (New employee reports, turn over reports, evaluation due dates, LOA reports, etc. as assigned) and share with managers
  • Participate in on-boarding process, centralized hiring and Orientation presenting subject matter materials and answering questions
  • Work with marketing department to add, develop and monitor HR content on the intranet pages
  • Assist with benefits open enrollment and act as a liaison with vendors and affiliate
  • Process paperwork and employee correspondence for Leaves of Absence (assuring FMLA, MMA USERA and other DOL standards are adhered to)
  • Maintain contact with employees on leave to monitor progress and prompt return to work date. Works with managers and Human Resources to monitor leaves.
  • Monitor and track leave of absences and follows up on required paperwork such as medical certifications, requests for extended leaves, and other required information.
  • Assist to complete Termination paperwork, and issue correspondence according to DOL regulations, (Unemployment notification, COBRA notification, etc.)
  • Act as point of contact for unemployment verification and associated documentation
  • Regularly update and maintain HR File
  • Manage the HRIS Records function responsible for the processing of all employment transactions

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Preferred PHR or HR Certificate from an accredited program
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a confidential setting
  • Experience with ADP preferred
  • Experience with Excel preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a confidential setting
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, writing and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of payroll / HRIS systems
  • Exposure to fundamentals of employment laws, (FMLA, USERA, 151B, ADA, PMLA, Workplace Harassment Laws etc.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, be able to manage expectations and demonstrate professionalism in difficult circumstances
  • Must be able to reliably and discreetly manage confidential information
