Job Summary

The ID/OD CNC Machinist is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of CNC ID/OD grinders in the CNC Grind Department. The ID/OD CNC Machinist must be able to produce high-quality products according to ID/OD department work instruction.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and Manual OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision
• Grinding of splined shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001"-.0005."
• Basic Maintenance of CNC Grinders
• Use precision measurement equipment
• Maintain proper documentation of SPC data
• Consistently produce quality parts
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Blueprint reading skills
• Shop math skills
• Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools

Physical Requirements

• Good hand eye coordination
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to use hand tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
