Location: Bohemia, NY

Hours: Sunday - Friday; 11:00pm - 7:30am

How you will make an impact…

As a Quality Control Technician II, you will be operating various pieces of inspection and finishing equipment to ensure clinical labels meet established quality standards. Other responsibilities include inspection of labels produced by cold fusion and/or digital printers, label application machines and booklet presses. Ability to operate vision inspection and finishing machines, such as slitters, is a major function of this position.

What you will do…

  • Ensure all In Process Inspection SOPs and Work Instructions are current and followed, as well as adhere to all quality standards.

  • Perform Start-Up & Re-Start Verifications of Computerized Runs as well as Guardian verifications as applicable.

  • Perform room clearance and room reconciliation

  • Perform 100% inspection of all computerized material via visual inspection.

  • Accurately count out labels to verify the quantity shipping is what is being requested by the client.

  • Perform all required activities associated with labels which must be reprinted including identification of defective labels, reprint file generation, and label integration.

  • Release inspected materials which have met required inspection standards for further processing or shipping.

  • Packaging of released finished or computerized materials; including, but not limited to shrink wrapping, generating material ID tags and boxing of labels.

  • Mentoring new In Process Inspectors to familiarize them with department practices and policies.

  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

How you will get here…

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • Associates degree preferred

Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a quality field

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • An understanding of what constitutes a defective label that must be rejected prior to passing on to the client.

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

  • Perform basic mathematical calculations with the assistance of a calculator

  • Strong computer skills

  • Highly organized

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple timelines

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and attention to detail

  • Works well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Must be highly adaptable and open to change

  • Able to communicate in English
