As a progressive financial institution, we are seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of Indirect Lending Buyer. The ideal candidate will live in or be able to consistently visit vendors in the Twin Falls, ID area. The Indirect Lending Buyer is responsible for increasing Pioneer's indirect auto loan sales through the management of relationships with both local and remote auto dealers, making loan decisions and negotiating terms and dealer compensation consistent with the policies and goals of Pioneer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work to achieve loan volume and quality goals by making loan decisions consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of Pioneer and regulatory requirements.
- Manage dealer relationships through regular visits, representing Pioneer in a courteous, confident and professional manner at all times.
- Support and motivate dealers to build a pipeline of quality loan submissions through regular contact and negotiation of terms and rates consistent with the needs of the dealers and the goals and objectives of Pioneer.
- Closely monitor dealer activity reports (applications, funded loans, charge backs, charge offs, etc.) and communicate findings to dealers to ensure mutually beneficial relationships are promoted.
- Work closely with management to monitor and achieve department goals and objectives, and to identify additional opportunities for growth.
- Communicate regularly with direct loan underwriters and branch staff to promote the value of the indirect program to Pioneer and assist them with identifying cross sell opportunities created by indirect member relationships.
- Be available to accommodate the business needs of our dealer partners and ensure superior customer service at all times
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
Experience: Minimum of three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and /or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills: At least one year of advanced underwriting experience in indirect loans. Experience in sales and negotiation of dealer contracts.
Physical Requirements: Very light physical effort. Typical of most office jobs. Work in comfortable positions.
Work Environment: Normal light, heat, air, and space in work environment. Travel within our market area is required.
