PTR Baler and Compactor (PTR) has an immediate need for an Industrial Electrician to join our Manufacturing team!

PTR is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. Our mission is to help companies achieve their green initiatives by reducing waste streams and increasing recycling efforts. The company manufactures and services balers, compactors and provides parts and resources to customers.

The Industrial Electrician plays a key role in the production process of our equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues when system is not working
  • Wire and install electrical systems into baler and compactor equipment
  • Set hydraulic pressures
  • Install safety switches
  • Provide support during the final inspections of units prior to shipment
  • Prepare units for shipment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of related commercial/industrial electrical experience
  • Electrical training degree or certification
  • Prior experience working with 3 phase motor controls and PLC
  • Ability to read and understand schematics required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work overtime and on 1st or 2nd shift as needed
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation
  • Must successfully complete drug test and background check

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Commercial electrician: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Schematics: 1 year (Required)
