Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Industrial Electrician III.
JOB OBJECTIVE: To help maintain the electrical equipment at the Power Plants, substations, other Easton Utilities departments, and the Town of Easton. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with on-call requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have working knowledge of electricity and electronics, previous electric and electronics training, and ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
- Testing and calibration of electrical equipment, protective relaying, metering, and transducers at the power plants and substations.
- Installation, programming and troubleshooting PLC and SCADA systems.
- Installation and troubleshooting electrical systems and interfaces.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work involves kneeling, squatting, climbing, sitting, standing, lifting, pulling and carrying equipment.
- Ability to perform during exposure to noisy equipment, extreme weather conditions, and engine room noise and heat.
- Must wear proper PPE at all times
