The Leggett & Platt Flooring division, located in Statesville, NC is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to work along-side our Process Engineer. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will help successfully implement designs and build parts/machines to improve current processes in the production of carpet cushion.

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will take direction from the Process Engineer to assist in completing projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet cushion. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

So, what will you be doing as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic?

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions
• Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specifications
• Use various machines and hand tools and power tools to accomplish assigned tasks
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs when needed
• Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert manager
• Performs other related duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:

• Have at least 2 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing
• Ability to work independently or as a team to complete tasks
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Ability to use various hand tools
• Available to work on required Saturday’s
