Position: Information Coordinator

Date Available: Starting Summer 2023

Hours/FLSA Status/Benefits: Full-Time Non-Exempt 12 Months | Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch) | Hourly | Occasional Evening/Weekend | Occasional Overtime, paid at time and a half | paid time off (two weeks vacation) + 11.5 paid holidays (per parish calendar) | medical, dental, vision and diocese pension

Location: Gesu Catholic School, 2450 Miramar Blvd. University Heights Ohio 44118

Position Rational: The information coordinator will provide information systems service, front office support, and support to Gesu Catholic School, a PreK-8 Catholic Blue-Ribbon School of Excellenceand Ohio Designated STEM School.

Job Responsibilities: The below list is not all encompassing but is a general list of responsibilities. Under the supervision of the Technology Director and the School Principal the Information Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate the new Student Information System (Digital Academy) manage records, transcripts, schedules, field trips, forms, permanent record cards and other front office responsibilities.
  • Assist with weekly communication emails, scheduling events, and calendars.
  • Complete general office work including data entry, email communication, phone calls, mail merges, printing, and other tasks.
  • Assist with financial matters related to creation of purchase orders, reimbursements & credit card tracking.
  • Aide with general and technology projects related to Gesu School and the STREAM Center.
  • Serve as back up to the School Office Coordinator with phone calls, visitor check in, welcome and general office support.
  • All other related duties and tasks as assigned.

Preferred Applicant: Bachelor’s degree required. A background in Education, Business, Information Systems, or other related fields is preferred. A general knowledge of technology is required. Other requirements include: Intermediate Microsoft Office & Google Apps knowledge, basic computer troubleshooting, strong attention to detail, ability to be a self-starter, general organization, the ability to follow step-by-step directions, and intermediate problem-solving skills. Student Information Systems and database experience are strongly preferred. Familiarity with digital content creation (i.e. WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva are a plus.)
