Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process correspondence, memoranda, and reports by composing and word processing in a neat, professional manner.
2. Process orders, requisitions, invoices, and maintain accurate budget records for the district technology department.
3. District Technology Help Desk:
a.First line of support for district technology related support issues.
b. 14 total districts.ACT test. oute help technology help desk tickets accordingly.
c. Add/Maintain accounts in the District’s help desk software application.
d. Monitor and report outstanding help desk items to the Director of Information Systems.
4. Time and Attendance
a. Assist Director of Information Systems in the management of Information Systems staff time.
I. Operator of the Information Systems’ staff Absence Management System.
II. Provide support for Information Systems’ staff for their time and attendance.
5. Assist the Director of Information Systems in updating the Technology Department Webpage.
6. Assist the Director of Information Systems with Technology Inventory/Asset Management
a. Maintain District Technology Inventory
b. Technology asset life cycle management.
c. E-Rate Inventory Tracking
d. Miscellaneous Inventory Reporting.
7. Assist the Director of Information Systems with completion and filing of grant forms, E-rate funding requests, and bid requests.
8. Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments of materials.
9. Check in and process new materials, equipment, and supplies.
10. Process phone calls and receive staff and all others in a courteous manner.
11. Attend workshops and in-service activities planned for the improvement and development of job-related skills.
12. Maintain leave and PDC records for district technology staff.
13. Arrange professional development registrations, travel, and lodging for district technology staff.
14. Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents.
15. Assist other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
16. Manage iPad volume app purchasing for entire district.
17. Laminate materials for staff as needed.
18. Create proposals and request quotes for technology equipment.
19. Key orders and process invoices for district technology purchases.
20. Diagnoses hardware and operating system problems and repair.
21. Cleans computer equipment and peripherals.
22. Installs and reinstalls software for proper operation in the instructional process.
23. Assists with network cable installation as directed.
24. Assists with configuration and set up of printers, projection devices, and monitors to work effectively for various instructional purposes.
25. Assists with other technology problems and equipment operations when possible.
26. Assists the computer technician to maintain a computer services repair center with appropriate supplies and equipment.
27. Provides emergency assistance as required to maintain district technology services.
28. Develops a flexible work schedule with the supervisor to maintain district technology services.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the job at a fully acceptable level.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of computer hardware.
Knowledge of cabling local area and wide area networks.
Knowledge of computer peripherals and ability to diagnose problems
Experience in computer repair services
Knowledge of software installation for Macintosh and PC computers
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate or acceptable.

Ability to write reports and correspondence consistent with the duties of this position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals consistent with the duties of this position.
