KIN-TEK Analytical, Inc. is a small growing company that designs, manufactures, markets, sells, and supports permeation devices and instrumentation that generate gas mixtures for a broad range of applications including calibration and simulation of user defined compounds.
Job summary
This position is responsible for performing manufacturing, shipping, and receiving operations and specific processes necessary to assemble and test calibration instruments and products. Must follow procedures and work instructions according to KIN-TEK Analytical, Inc. Quality Management System as well as provide updates and feedback for continuous improvement. Must meet requirements for product quality, on-time delivery, and follow all applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Must provide product support and complete tasks to improve process workflow. Must understand and align to company goals and strategy.
Responsibilities/daily tasks:
- Read and understand flow schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for following established procedures and documentation.
- Plan and execute the production of components and assemblies by maintaining stock of accessories, subassemblies, and wiring harnesses for build of final products.
- Contribute to product assembly and testing of final products to meet customer requirements.
- Recommend improvements for component design, product enhancements, and production processes.
- Perform various subroutine tests using Multimeter, flow controllers, and electronic test equipment.
- Perform calibration of Mass Flow Controllers and temperature controllers.
- Perform shipping/receiving tasks in small warehouse area.
- Maintain parts/component inventory levels.
- Provide instrument part kits for specified Bills of Material. Notify management of non-complying items and assist in root cause analysis.
- Improve documentation and contribute to improving Production lead times.
- Aid in inventory control and inspection of incoming items related to ISO processes.
- Provide support to other Production positions.
- Bring a positive attitude and a teamwork approach.
- Maintain the strictest standard of product quality and record keeping as a routine function of the job.
- Meet ISO Standard Requirements and continuously improve processes. Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
· Post high school technical training and preferred associate degree or College Degree.
· The individual should possess basic skills necessary to assemble, operate, and test equipment, including a full understanding of safety procedures relating to the use of drills, electrical component assembly, and operation.
· Familiar with assembling electronic components such as power supplies, flow meters, solenoids, valves, switches, and PC circuit boards.
· Basic mathematical skills (including knowledge in use of the metric system, conversions, and calculations).
· Ability to read, follow, and write work instructions.
· Ability to use personal computer software including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point) and data bases programs such as FileMaker.
· Employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, and controls to walk, sit, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift or move up to 40 pounds with or without assistance.
· Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distant vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
