Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is supporting both our Electrical Controls Group and Field Service Team, with the Programming, Testing, Installation, Field Serving and Trouble-shooting of our Control Systems, with a primary focus on Industrial Control Systems, that include Process and Temperature Controllers, Burner Management, and various PLC based applications.
Programming, configuring, and calibrating Process Instrumentation at clients and in-house also required. Any prior experience in Calibration and ISO17025 is a plus. Work will be in-house at ETTER Engineering Company in Bristol, CT., as well as at various customer facilities, primarily in the Northeast.
The work includes:
- Field Service support for Troubleshooting Control Systems, at customer sights throughout he Northeast. Supporting the programming and developing PLC code and programming HMI's
- Work performed to UL508a complying with NFPA 70. and NFPA 86. Any knowledge of these are a plus,
- Assisting the Field Service group with equipment upgrades and installations.
- Working with the Engineering Group on Field Program Modifications, verifying the processes
- Working with QC on testing and configuring In-House projects.
- Provide field assistance for startup and service work of various equipment and controls
- Opportunity to lead the Field Service work to include ISO-17025 Instrumentation Calibration services
Requirements:
- Knowledge and experienced with PLC and HMI Programming (ETTER utilizes Automation Direct, Allen Bradley, SIEMENS, Schneider)
- Knowledge and experienced in the application of VFDs
- Knowledge of Field Service practices and procedures, OSHA Requirements, etc.
- Electrical and Mechanical aptitude
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail
- Computer competency a must
- Fundamental knowledge of controls and electrical systems design
- Must be a Team player that can also work independently, and able to multi-task.
