The ideal candidate will be capable of maintaining instrumentation in a soybean processing facility. As a member of the Service Division, a willingness to respond in urgent or emergent repairs after regular business hours will be a necessity. A clean driving record is required. Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a team environment with other process instrumentation technicians to maintain and repair instrumentation including pressure, flow, level, and temperature devices.
- Actively able to troubleshoot, maintain and repair instrumentation to ensure preventative maintenance of functional instrumentation.
- Ability to install and reinstall instrumentation after repair or replacement.
- Skill set includes completing loop checks with instrumentation within the facility.
- Maintenance of all critical equipment will be a necessity to avoid downtime or malfunction.
- Efficient at using computerized systems to integrate, retrieve data, or manage the instrumentation within the facility.
- Willingness to be on-call for service after normal business hours, including weekends, in rotation with other technicians.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements for the Instrumentation Technician
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school or continued education is a plus.
- Experience with process instrumentation in an industrial setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology is required.
- Knowledge and experience of software programming with Bailey, Modicon or Allen Bradley a plus.
- Must be willing to work some paid overtime as business needs arise.
- Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
- Results-driven personality a plus.
- Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
- Must be willing and able to work at heights nearing 150 feet through stairs or vertical ladder.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
- All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
